Strategic Plan

- Change public perceptions by sharing our expertise and elevating the voices of the people we serve
- Advocate for equity-focused public policy to create a just and healing-oriented society for people who use drugs
- Expand and deepen community investment in the mission
- Build and nurture collaborative community partnerships to strengthen our organizational and collective power
Despite more than a decade of effort to counter debilitating stereotypes about those we serve, harmful perceptions about people who use drugs and the unhoused remain strong. These inaccurate public perceptions play a role in developing harmful policies and negatively impact the funding environment for our efforts, not to mention the devastating personal impact they can have on people’s lives. ETS aims to work with other community providers and organizations to change these perceptions, with the goal of collectively forging a just and healing-oriented society for those we serve.
